DEEP REFLECTIONS, BRIGHT STEPPING: TRAVELLING WITH GLASS MOUNTAIN WOMAN
Saturday 20th January 10.30 – 5pm, Sunday 21st January 10-1pm Venue: Goddess House, Magdalene Street, Glastonbury
We meet Glass Mountain Woman in old tales and in the mirror. For winter 2018 we are offering a 1.5 day workshop exploring the wisdom glass mountain stories may hold for us and culminating in a ritual glass walk.
Lead by Christine Watkins, Saturday will be spent re-encountering and re-claiming several tales. With individual and group work we will journey with the stories to explore the nature of our own glass mountain. On Sunday morning we will reconnect with our storywork and prepare to glasswalk under the skilful direction of Louisa Potter, a SUNDOOR trained ceremonial glass and fire walk leader. With her support we will honour the path of our life so far, both the difficult edges and the moments of sparkling beauty, and know what it is to trust the next step forwards. (*nb The preparation session is for all, and is part of the weekend – if having prepared you choose not to glasswalk, your choice will be fully honoured and you may remain part of the circle supporting those who choose to walk.)
This weekend is for all those interested in exploring the riches of our traditional tales, and why we as individuals might want to hear or tell them. In combining this with the chance to experience a glasswalk with skilled support, we hope to weave a very special event for the deep winter season…
