They say Sheela came before words… that all our vocabulary and voicing to her is worn like mould, like rain, like love tokens… A short exploration via the work of several artists (poets, spoken-word performers, printmakers) looking at how they have voiced/perceived Sheela in their work. Participants will then begin creating their own Sheela glossary, forming a prayer/poem/praisechant drawing on their their own experience of Sheela.
This workshop is offered as part of a weekend event Celebrating Sheela-na-gig hosted by Glastonbury Goddess Temple. It is free but you need to register beforehand – Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
